Storing meds the easy way
A few years ago my youngest son, Macks, was diagnosed with asthma. He’s your typical asthma kid, has both eczema and food allergies, and has spent way too many of his childhood hours in hospitals.
For his food allergies, we were given an EpiPen. We were told to carry it with us always, along with a bottle of Benadryl. So, I bought a bigger purse and his medications became a part of our everyday.
For the asthma, we never quite know how much medication we’ll need. When my son’s reactions are severe, he could take up to seven meds a day. So we’re forced to be prepared, and lug a lot of medications around.
I’ve been struggling for years to find something that is both safe and convenient. These medications are life-savers when needed, yet dangerous if used incorrectly. So it was important to me to find a solution that protected Macks’s medication from his own curiosity.
While on vacation this summer, I checked into our hotel room with a lunch box full of medicine. It was big enough to hold everything we needed, but it didn’t have the security factor. Like all busy moms, shuffling an unimaginable mental load, I forgot I left the lunchbox out, and found Macks unzipping it. It served as a wakeup call: I needed to find something safe, but roomy.
When I found Rob Rodney bags, I knew that they were the solution I’d been searching for. These bags checked everything off my list: well-made, convenient, 100% lockable. And they’re sophisticated, so gone are the days of bulky lunch boxes, covered in cartoon characters.
Today I use the larger Rob Rodney bag. The two zip-up magnetic pouches are perfect for his inhalers and pills. The larger compartment is great for his spacer and larger medication bottles. I love how everything has a place, and it stays anchored and separated.
Rob Rodney bags have given me unbelievable peace of mind. For those parents out there, struggling with the same issue, I highly recommend Rob Rodney – and the confidence you can feel in its safety.
